PARIS PART 5

Dear readers. This was our very last day in Paris and again the weather was amazing. We had to check out before 11 am and our train left that evening around 6 pm, so we left our bags at the hotel and decided to go to the Champs-Elysées with the main reason: Ladurée. We had walked past it before, but never went inside. The day was perfect without a lot of drama, except for the metro to the Champs-Elysées. The metro was incredibly crowded, because it was the one which stopped at every tourist attraction. When we left one station to go to the next one, the metro suddenly made an emergency stop. All the lights went of, we couldn't hear what was happening properly. And the first thoughts that went through my mind were 'We're never getting out of here' 'We're going to miss our train tonight' etc. All very dramatic and unnecessary, because the metro started to ride again and all the lights went on again. Until it made a second emergency stop. This time I could understand what was happening. I had been to Paris before and travelled by metro before, but I'd never experienced something like this before.
Later that day we went out for a massive lunch and had a great time just watching people.
This is it for today and there'll be a new post tomorrow morning.
